| Well here I am in Boston. I have been here for the past 3 weeks and I can't say theres a much better place other than Ithaca where I would rather spend my time. Today I jammed with some friends on freedom jazz dance and some other cool songs. Jimmy Beast kept shutting off the lights, but since he just turned 9, we forgive him. "You fuckin' asshole", he says, while reading over my shoulder.
Coming home for grassroots was not only a gigantic culture shock but a wonderful experience once I reajusted to the free love, mud and pot. Seeing the bands I grew up with and hanging with the people close to me (and some new ones) was just the thing I needed to get through these five weeks here. Not that it's painful or anything, far from it, but you don't know what you got till it's gone.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to grab my blankets and come back here for a sleepover. |
